I am Cameron, the owner and founder of Prestigious Puppies LLC. I have been involved with animals my entire life through 4H, but have been working with dogs since 2015. I have been breeding since 2019. I have raised a variety of breeds, but my heart is with Poodles. I focus on Toy and Miniatures. I do plan to venture back into the world of the Poodle mixes, starting in late 2025. My main goal of breeding is well rounded, healthy pets while maintaining the structural integrity of the breed, however I do not show nor do I plan to show my dogs. I do health test my breeding dogs, genetically through Embark and I have breed specific OFA testing done as well. Yes, I do breed merle Poodles. I will not entertain arguments regarding the genetic purity of merles. My dogs have all DNA tested as 100% Poodle and merle can be hidden by other colors that are in the breed, which makes it possible that it has been hidden in the breed for many years. Contrary to some arguments, merle does not cause health concerns when bred correctly. I do not condone double merle breeding and do my best to ensure my lines do not go to any breeders who do. I do not breed solely for color but most of my litters will have merles as at this time, both of my studs are merle. If you have questions, I can discuss this for hours!
All of my parent dogs are DNA tested through Embark! I can provide copies of all testing upon request.
All of my breeding candidates have OFA testing completed, Cardiac and Patella are the minimum, but I will have all breed specific testing completed over time. My goal is to only produce healthy, high quality puppies and OFA testing is a large part of that.
